Olen tekemässä teosta nimeltä Blaa Blaa. Kyseessä on liikelähtöinen teos, jonka lähtökohtana on ylikuormittavuuden kokemus. Yhdistelen sen koreografiaan tällä hetkellä sekä setattua liikemateriaalia että tehtävälähtöisiä hetkiä. Harjoittelemme teosta tällä hetkellä Helsingissä. Koreografian liikekieli hakee yhteyttä uutisten, ohjeiden ja neuvojen ylitsevuotavaan tulvaan asettamalla kehon vaihtuvien liiketekstuurien virtaan. Yksi keskeinen inspiraation lähde on puhumiseen liittyvät eleet ja tietty viittomakielestä inspiroitunut liiketarkkuus käsissä.
Työpajassa jaan teoksen liikemateriaalia liikesarjojen ja -tehtävien muodossa. Työskentely on dynaamista ja keskittyy liikkumiseen ja tekemiseen, mutta tarjoaa myös tietoa siitä miten liike suhteutuu tekeillä olevan teoksen teemaan. Työpajaan voi tulla monella mielellä: esim. viettämään kesäisen treeniviikon, tutustumaan erään koreografin kädenjälkeen, tai saamaan inspiraatiota omaan työhön.

Voit myös kysellä maksa-mitä-pystyt -paikkoja. Niitä tarjotaan mahdollisuuksien mukaan.

Soili Huhtakallio on valmistunut 2016 Taideyliopistosta, ja työskennellyt siitä asti tanssin vapaalla kentällä koreografina, tanssijana ja tuottajana. Häntä kiinnostaa liikkeessä herkkyyden ja voiman välinen vuoropuhelu, psykosomatiikka, sekä ajatusten ja kehon välinen vuorovaikutus.

Blaa Blaa – choreographic workshop for professionals and advanced amateurs.

I am working on a piece called Blaa Blaa. It is a movement-based piece, the starting point of which is the experience of overload. I currently combine set movement material and task-based moments in the choreography. We are currently rehearsing the work in Helsinki. The movement language of the choreography seeks to connect with the overflowing flood of news, instructions and advice by placing the body in the flow of changing movement textures. One key source of inspiration is the gestures associated with speaking, and a certain precision of movement in the hands inspired by sign language.
In the workshop, I will share the piece’s movement material through movement sequences and tasks. The work is dynamic and focuses on working with movement, but also provides information on how movement relates to the theme of the piece in progress. There are many reasons to come to the workshop: to spend a summer training week, to get to know a choreographer’s work, to get inspiration for your work…

Soili Huhtakallio graduated from the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2016 and has worked as a choreographer, dancer, and producer in the freelance field of dance since then. She is interested in the dialogue between sensitivity and strength in movement, psychosomatics, and the interaction between thoughts and embodiment.
