Circostradan mentorointiohjelmaan etsitään uransa alkuvaiheilla olevia taiteilijoita!
BOUNCE is a mentoring programme designed to offer a supportive space for professionals with 4 to 10 (maximum) years of experience. It offers opportunities for networking, extends professional connections, and fosters awareness around fair practices and equitable working conditions, while providing tools to advance the mentee’s project and to make them better equipped to implement change in their professional practice.
- OVERALL OBJECTIVES
To encourage mutual transmission between more emergent and more experienced contemporary circus and outdoor arts professionals; - To help tomorrow’s contemporary circus and outdoor arts professionals grow and gain experience;
- To enrich and diversify the understanding of the issues and realities of the contemporary circus and outdoor arts sectors;
- To connect the next contemporary circus and outdoor arts professionals with one another in order to develop a sustainable community of solidarity;
- To foster awareness on the topic of fair practices and equitable working conditions.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME OFFER?
- A 16-hour development programme with a facilitator from Circostrada members and external experts;
- Participation in a kick-off event in order to meet the other participants and facilitators (including travel, per diems, and accommodation);
- 1 on-site and 2 online worksops guided by experts and connected to fair practices and equitable working conditions.
- Participation in the Circostrada General Meeting (including travel, per diems, and accommodation) and/or in FRESH events (including travel, per diems, and accommodation);
- Opportunity to engage with the SPARK Participatory Research Lab on Fair Practices and Equitable Working Conditions with the Performing Arts Coalition (PAC) led by five performing arts networks – ASSITEJ, Circostrada, EDN, EFA, and IETM (more information coming out soon). Participants will reflect on this topic with researchers, thinkers, and workers focused on projects and actions around;
WHO ARE THE FACILITATORS?
The facilitators are members of Circostrada Network. Each facilitator will be chosen according to the project and its objectives described by the participant in their application.
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Professionals from the contemporary circus and outdoor arts sectors residing preferably in Creative Europe eligible countries;
- The candidate must have between 4 to 10 years of professional experience in the contemporary circus and outdoor arts fields;
- The candidate must be working in the field of contemporary circus or outdoor arts and have a specific project as the focus for this programme.
You will be asked to upload a CV that must be written in English and cannot exceed 1 page. Any material about your current project (photos, note of intent, mocks-up etc.) must be collected and sent as one pdf. attached.
Bounce is dedicated to contemporary circus and outdoor arts professionals who wish to expand their creative, relational and business capacities, and reflect on their professional environment in the light of the topic of fair practices and working conditions.
*The programme DOES NOT accept artistic projects nor proposals dedicated to touring or creating new shows.
Example of contemporary circus and outdoor arts proposals that can be submitted (non-exhaustive list):
- Production of a festival programming;
- Editorial projects (print and digital);
- Development of a cultural centre programming;
- Production of academic events (laboratories, symposiums, hackathons, etc.);
- Development and production of residencies.

If your application is selected, your presence will be required at the kick-off event on June 22-23 in the frame of the Circostrada Annual General Meeting in Sibiu, Romania (24-26 June, 2026) co-organised with Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu, in the frame of FITS – Sibiu International Theater Festival and its SIPAM (Sibiu International Performing Arts Market) (from June 22-25, 2026), and in the frame of the Circostrada Annual General Meeting in October 2027 in Tunis, Tunisia for the wrap-up session.
