Have you submitted your “60secondscircusfilm”? Now is your chance! Deadline for submissions is May 1st!
Last year DYNAMO launched a film competition in collaboration with OFF – Odense International Film Festival, called 60secondcscircusfilm.
It was a format kindly borrowed from the world of dance, where the craft of film and circus met in a very short film with the duration of 60 seconds. We showed 30 selected films from all over the world on a huge outdoor screen at the DYNAMO Circus Festival in June, and later on at OFF in August. A jury of three experts selected the top five films, and one was named the winner, receiving a cash prize of 1.000 euro.
This year we do it again! And the open call for submission closes on May 1st.
We hope to engage the community of circus and film once again; that you get widely creative, have a lot of fun and create something worth fully engaging with during the precious time frame of 60 seconds.
Oh yeah – and this time the winner can choose between a cash prize and a residency at DYNAMO!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN 60SECONDSCIRCUSFILM 2024
Create a film of 60 seconds
All genres are accepted
No limits regarding production year
No re-submissions from last year’s competition
Theme: circus
Submit on Filmfreeway – €5 fee for submission
Deadline for submission 1st of May
TIME FRAME
1st February: Open for submission
1st May: Deadline for submission
21st May: Notification
10th June: Deadline for film upload
26th August – 1st September: OFF – Odense International Film Festival. The films will be screened during the festival and the winner will be announced on August 27th.
PRIZE
The winner is either granted a prize of €1.000 or a residency at DYNAMO in May 2025. This is to be decided between the winning team and DYNAMO.
The competition is presented by DYNAMO & OFF.
