In October and November Circus & Dance Info Finland’s personnel will be attending two events in South Korea and CINARS in Canada with an entourage of Finnish dance & circus artists.
First of all, Circus & Dance Info’s Lotta Nevalainen and Petra Hannus will be in Busan, South Korea at BPAM – Busan International Performing Arts Market from 4 to 7 October. Right after that, Lotta and Petra move on to PAMS Performing Arts Market in Seoul, where they will be from 8 to 11 October with a small Finnish delegation. The participants, chosen for the networking trip via an open call, are circus artist Armas Lintusaari (Arctic Ensemble), producer Julia Hovi (WAUHAUS), director general Jyrki Karttunen (Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth), dance artist / choreographer Tiia Kasurinen (freelancer) and artistic director / managing director Sonya Lindfors (UrbanApa). Sari Palmgren (Routa Company) is also part of the Finnish delegation in Korea. Our booth at PAMS is nr 48, so come say hi!
In November, Lotta and Petra will bring another Finnish delegation to CINARS Biennale in Montreal, Canada. The participants were again chosen via an open call and they are freelance curator Heidi Backström, choreographer Jarkko Mandelin (Kinetic Orchestra), circus artist Saku Mäkelä (RISA Company), choreographer Johanna Nuutinen (Johanna Nuutinen + Collaborators), managing director Marjo Pyykönen (Carl Knif Company) and artistic director / juggler Olli Vuorinen (Nuua Company).
