Circus & Dance Info Finland compiles annual circus and dance statistics regarding the activity of the Finnish dance and circus fields.
In addition to the data on number of shows and audience attendance, we collect also financial information of the companies receiving state funding. The data is collected by sending out a questionnaire to the circus and dance companies registered in Finland. Circus & Dance Info is responsible for compiling the data from companies that are outside the Finnish government’s state subsidies system (VOS), whereas the data from companies that receive VOS funding is collected by Theatre Info Finland – TINFO.
We have also created infographics based on the collected data. The infographics show long term developments of performing activities and the state support to the sector.
The statistics are also published in the Theatre Info Finland’s yearly Theatre Statistics book.
