Jonna Aaltonen's 30th anniversary artist performance explores the journey, change and development of a dance artist's expression over a long career. The work will visit the Kulturhus Björkbodan in May 2026.
The artist’s anniversary solo focuses on the journey of an artist’s expression over a long career. The 2020s-based artist will reflect on the importance of movement and freedom of expression in contemporary dance, seeking connections to the ideas of Isadora Duncan, a dance innovator from the early 20th century. What would Duncan say about today’s trends? How does aging affect artistry?
The performance is free of charge.
We recommend pre-registration due to limited capacity. Please pre-register by e-mail
