Sirkus Finlandia 2026

Sirkus Finlandia, known as Finland’s national circus, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The anniversary tour kicked off in Karjaa, and the circus is touring in its familiar style “from Raasepori to Ivalo.” The anniversary year will culminate in a month-long stop in Helsinki at the end of September.

Sirkus Finlandia’s international troupe for the anniversary year includes Ukrainian strongman Denis Ilchenko. Colombian Duo Vanegas brings to the ring a breathtaking and daredevil wheel-of-death act that has won awards at various circus festivals. Latvian Ernita Ronzalli is a hula hoop virtuoso both on the ground and high up. Valeriia Koshova’s impressive and elegant aerial act brings a touch of softness to the performance. The juggling act by Sofia Motturi, one of Finland’s rising young stars, combines unrestrained comedy, juggling, and storytelling. The stunning act by the Kazakh duo Kotenyova, which won an award at the prestigious Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, redefines aerial acrobatics. A favorite among young fans of Sirkus Finlandia, Bulgarian Sofia Ignatova performs a ballerina act alongside a horse. The act is a tribute to both Sirkus Finlandia and traditional circus. World-famous clown Anatoli Akerman has captivated audiences at both Cirque du Soleil and in the movie *Dumbo*, and is now in Finland for the first time.

The show is directed by circus director Calle Jernström Junior, and the “heart” of the performance is Circus Finlandia’s own orchestra. Sirkus Finlandia’s mascots, the circus clowns Aatos and Elmeri, are also part of the comprehensive experience of this anniversary year’s show.
