SWEAT SWEAT SWEAT is a political reflection on the corporeal, gymnastic, and cultural archive of classical ballet.
Sweat is the trace of a desire that escapes control, a physical language that can open new trajectories of meaning. Giorgia Lolli and working group’s site specific dance performance, SWEAT SWEAT SWEAT, is presented 6 times over 2 days within the Festival for contemporary dance in urban spaces of Teatro Comunale di Ferrara. The work borrows from ballet not to reproduce its aesthetics, but to challenge it: a political reflection on a corporeal, gymnastic, and cultural archive. To be traversed, rewritten, and exploded.
