The Circus Market will be held on September 5–6, 2026, at the Kivisilta Event Field. Once again, the event will feature contemporary circus performances, an autumn market, and Suomen Tivoli, which will conclude its tour in Kerava. Admission to the event is free!
The Circus Market is a traditional Kerava city event where circus performances and the fall market bring residents together in Kerava. The event will be held at the Kivisilta Event Field in Kerava. Throughout the weekend, there will also be performances in the circus tent, for which tickets can be purchased at lippu.fi. In addition, the weekend will feature many free circus, music, and dance performances throughout the event area.
On Saturday at 6 p.m., the Arctic Ensemble’s Karkelot will take the stage in the tent — a new, grand, and beautiful contemporary circus production where acrobatics blend with traditional pair and group dances. The audience will be treated to a stage filled with acrobats, dancers, musicians, and masters of physical comedy. The production is inspired by Finnish folk traditions, dance, and music, which joyfully blend with circus acrobatics, stage presence, and physical comedy.
On Sunday, the circus tent will host two performances by the Finnish Race Horse Company. At 12:30 p.m., the stage will host the performance Chevalier: Hobbyhorse Circus, in which circus director Kalle Lehto—drawing on the history of traditional horse circuses—performs acrobatics, juggling, and balancing acts alongside a magnificent troupe of hobbyhorses.
On Sunday, the evening in the circus tent will conclude at 5 p.m. with the Race Horse Company’s The Weird And Wonderful Circus Cabaret With a Twist. This spectacle, a collaboration between Race Horse Company and the Estonian Big Wolf Company, shakes up the conventions of traditional cabaret with exuberance and a bold, edgy approach. A rough-hewn aesthetic, distorted live music, and an element of surprise breathe new life into the tradition, creating a dangerously captivating live performance. This slightly odd yet utterly charming production invites the audience to let loose and join in the fun.
In addition to the ticketed performances, the event area will feature fantastic musical performances and several interesting contemporary circus acts.
