Turku University of Applied Sciences circus students' directing works are taking the stage once again, and the first one to premiere is Nelli Lehto's Changing game!
“Changing game” takes the viewer to a strange fantasy world inspired by Finnish folklore, where everything familiar has turned upside-down. The Forest cover is an ancient dream world, where a traveller ending up there has to change completely to come back home.
The piece processes gently through its symbolism and circus’ movement language the growing pains of life; finding your own identity and community, friendship, gender identity, becoming seen and getting to know oneself.
On stage we’ll see in addition to four shining performers, a caleidoscopic dance of light and shadow, as well as some less-frequently seen circus apparatuses.
The director, Nelli Lehto is an imaginative and visual circus artist, who experiments on new ways of doing as well as own and personal ways of creating in their art.
Let the scent of trees and moss lead you to see this piece in Turku!
