broken (iteration III – for Helsinki) is a swan song, a funeral song, a last song, a goodbye song.
broken (iteration III – for Helsinki) is a swan song, a funeral song, a last song, a goodbye song. The creation of the work coincided with Findlay//Sandsmark losing their venue RIMI/IMIR SceneKunst in Stavanger, Norway, in 2024. As an artwork, it turned out to serve as a delicate “farewell” piece for stages in general, and the ways in which they can disappear into the ether. In the frame of Moving in November the artist duet shares an iterative version of the work for Mad House and Reality Research Center.
Special musical guest Marisa Anderson will play at the conclusion of the performance as a sort of epilogue for this iteration.
The performance is part of Moving in November 5.–15.11.2026. As part of the festival, there will be an open Soup Talks discussion with Findlay, Sandsmark and local host on the 14th of November at noon in Caisa.
