Surreal, epic, and tragic sapphic story about lesbian love, haunted by a latent threat posed by circumstances—and an inevitable destruction.
Lesbian Power Duo has come to the final part of their erotic DIY contemporary musical trilogy. Heart of the Ocean is a surreal, epic, and tragic sapphic story where supernatural forces and delusional fantasies haunt an oceanic scenery, lingering over an excessive lesbian love. As a lesbian translation of the 1997 film classic Titanic, the musical’s driving force is a kind of eternal love—the ultimate sacrifice for love and beloved—which forms the narrative for this lesbian love story.
The performance is part of Moving in November 5.–15.11.2026. As part of the festival, Karlberg and Laakso will take part in an open Soup Talks discussion on the 7th of November at noon in Caisa.
