XS – Festival for New Dance and Performance 2026
This year’s XS – Festival for New Dance and Performance program offers fresh experiences during the darkest time of the year and features artists Jenni-Elina von Bagh, Suvi Kemppainen and Kajo Nummi, Bogna Luiza Wisniewska, Hertta Kiiski and friends, Rea-Liina Brunou, and Laura Jantunen.
Running from Thursday to Friday, November 26–December 4, 2026, the festival’s program features premiere and guest performances, exhibitions, and a book discussion. Ehkä-production is organizing the multidisciplinary festival in collaboration with the Titanik and Manual galleries, and visual artist Hertta Kiiski. In addition to Ehkä’s own venue, the Contemporary Art Space Kutomo, the event will take place at Hertta Kiiski’s studio in the same building, Manual on Puutarhakatu in Portsa, and the Titanik Gallery on the banks of the Aura River. Tickets for the performances are now on sale at Ehkä’s Holvi store. Admission to the galleries and to the discussion event is free. Come warm up with some art!
The event creates an opportunity for dialogue across different art forms, introduces participants to the spectrum of contemporary art, and offers new experiences and encounters in an accessible setting!

The XS Festival’s performances at the Contemporary Art Space Kutomo have been supported by the Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland.
The festival follows Ehkä-production’s safer space guidelines. Unfortunately, the spaces at Ehkä’s Contemporary Art Space Kutomo, Hertta Kiiski’s studio at the Lainto weaving building, and Manual gallery are not accessible: there are stairs and no accessible toilets. Accessibility information for Titanik Gallery can be found on their website.
The festival is produced by Ehkä-production, in collaboration with the Manual and Titanik galleries and Hertta Kiiski.
