Alen Nsambu is one of the Aerowaves artists of 2025

The Aerowaves network selected 21 emerging artists to be presented next year. The selected works will be featured in the Spring Forward Festival in Italy and Slovenia.

Finnish-Angolan choreographer Alen Nsambu has been selected to join the 2025 Aerowaves programme with his work NEON BEIGE, which premiered at Zodiak – Centre for New Dance this spring. NEON BEIGE is the first full-length choreography by Nsambu, who studied dance and choreography in Copenhagen.

Each year, the Aerowaves network selects 20 emerging artists whose work will be presented for a year. The selected works will be featured in the network’s Spring Forward festival. The selected artists will also have the opportunity to network and receive performance opportunities from Aerowaves partners in 34 European countries, including the finnish partner Annantalo Arts Centre.

For 2025, an exceptional 21 artists were selected, representing 17 different European countries. Next year’s Spring Forward festival will take place in April in the border towns of Gorizia (Italy) and Nova Gorica (Slovenia).
