VanDance 2025 VanDance Festival

VanDance 2025

VanDance - festival brings a diverse program of dance, circus, dance films and a K18 extension club to Myyrmäki, Vantaa. The program includes bold works, surprises and art that moves the body.

VanDance program will feature Mamia Company’s premiere Piirtyä Hiljalleen at Art Museum ARTSI, Wilma-Emilia Kuosa’s Shoes and Liisa Pentti+ CO’s Tästä!.

Improvisation lovers will be delighted by Myrskyryhmä’s Impro & Plié and the Välissä group’s long-form perorfmance Juoksuhiekkaa. Dance artist Arttu Peltoniemi’s Ruuhitanssi is based on archaeological research into Stone Age dance – the performance will be accompanied by violinist and ethnomusicologist Tuomas Rounakari.

Circus artists Teemu Skön and Rauli Dahlberg will bring their new performance to the festival; Controlled Chaos, which combines acrobatics, balancing and the control of sharp objects. The dance film screening at Kino Myyri will include the internationally awarded Cold Storage by Thomas Freundlich and Valtteri Raekallio.
