Ismo Dance Company presents an evening with five guest choreographers — four from Finland, one from Norway: Karen Eide Bøen, Ismo-Pekka Heikinheimo, Heidi Masalin, Satu Rekola and Leo Terävä. Each piece lasts between 10 and 20 minutes and offers a fresh, surprising interpretation of love.
It’s rare to see so many different contemporary dance styles in one evening. Each choreographer has their own background and way of working, so the programme feels varied and full of contrasts. The evening is enjoyable both for people who know contemporary dance well and for those seeing it for the first time.
Our host MotoriikkaMiikka guides the audience through the evening — introducing each piece, offering insight into the choreography, and connecting the audience with what happens on the stage.
