JoJo presents Armour Circus Works: Morphosis

Morphosis is a performance about exploring connection through the mediums of circus and dance.

Morphosis is a performance that combines object manipulation and dance, exploring connection and its uncertainty. Two figures observe and challenge one another in a state of inevitable change, searching for agency and a shared direction within a hazy and cold reality.

What happens if we do not resist the inevitable—if we allow change to take place?

Are we standing at the end, or at the beginning of something new?

Morphosis is the first collaborative work by juggler Onni Toivonen, dancer-choreographer Olli Lautiola, lighting and spatial designer Titus Torniainen, and musician-sound designer Konsta Leinonen. The piece brings together Toivonen’s experience in object manipulation and contemporary circus, Lautiola’s movement-based, dynamic, and meaning-rich choreographic practice, Torniainen’s ethos of living and emotionally intimate light, and Leinonen’s captivating, immersive sonic expression.
