An ecological fable inspired by Nordic legends, Kahina blends visual theatre, circus and puppetry. With humour and poetry, Blick Théâtre weaves a new mythology, where the fantasy whispers in the ear of the living.

16:00 Tales and Stories
At the Esse Festival, stories will be heard for the sixth time, narrated by circus artist Sasu Peistola. Come listen as fairy tale creatures come to life and the story fills the entire tent.
The storytime is suitable for all ages and those who feel young at heart.

15.30-17.00 Puuha-alue / Activity Area at the end of Peukaloinen Park
The activity area offers enjoyable activities for children and the adults accompanying them. The activities are self-directed, and items from the activity area must not be taken out side the area.
Please respect our trust by returning items to their places after playing or drawing, and remember to give the next person in line a turn within a reasonable time frame.

Music, poetry, and juggling come together on the same stage on a summer evening at Rio. The performers are a music pedagogy Eetu Pesonen and a writer–circus artist Miika Nuutinen. Due to the themes explored in the texts, the performance is intended for more adult audience.
