"Full Measures" is a trio for a puppet theater artist, a dancer, and a measuring stick.
In an ever-changing and chaotic world, there comes an encounter: The duo seeks to measure, map, and define each other. Measurement has become an essential part of existence. Do we measure to live better, or have the roles reversed – are we now living merely to measure more efficiently?
“Full Measures” is a trio for a puppet theater artist, a dancer, and a measuring stick. It is a visually ambitious examination of the obsession with measurement. Internationally acclaimed Turku-based ensemble Falke-Lindgren-Nybom-Forsman joins forces with Tel Aviv-based director Idit Herman. Employing unconventional techniques, the creators expand the boundaries and possibilities of object theater in this production.
“Full Measures” premiered in Turku five years ago at Tehdas Teatteri on September 20, 2019, and toured to Retroperspektywy in Lodz, Poland, in 2023. Measure yourself to attend from the Tehdas Teatteri box office. The performance is a co-production of Tehdas Teatteri and Grus Grus Teatteri and is part of the Mental Airport program. The festival venue is Tehdas Teatteri’s Sali.
The performance is mostly non-verbal but includes easily understandable English. It is intended for adults (+12) and contains nudity. The duration of the performance is approximately 1 hour.
