Paper is a dance and artwork, that utilizes Korean paper. It tells a story through dance and beautiful origami.

Based on Korea’s Washing Gut (Ssitgim-gut [씻김굿])* ritual, “Paper” is an artwork that tells a story through origami using Korean paper.

The work delivers a letter of comfort to everything that is disappearing and dying, and a message of hope to those in war zones.
In addition, we would like to convey comfort to everyone in the world who has experienced realistic sufferings such as the pandemic through the dance of beautiful origami games.
This work will convey emotion and comfort to everyone in the world who faces war and difficulties, focusing on hope and beauty.

The music and dance communicate through art despite difficulties and share feelings of empathy and solidarity.
This art form, which combines tradition and modernity, seeks to preserve cultural heritage and at the same time give peace of mind and strength to modern difficulties.

*A simple meaning for the Washing gut ritual: Cheondo-gut (including Ssitgim-gut) is a shamanistic ritual performed in the Jeolla Province of Korea to guide the souls of the dead to the afterlife.
