Baltic Circle 2026 Kauri Sorvari: Forevermore

A contemporary dance piece in which six performers search for the shapes of desire in the body’s subtle gestures and tensions. The work guides the audience into a space where longing emerges, fades, and transforms with the movement.

Forevermore articulates the shapes, gestures, and actions of the intimate, eros and erotic at the threshold of dancing.

The work portrays timeless and persistent directions of desire. The glance moves from the inner thighs, towards the iliac crest and the lower abdomen; then suddenly from the collarbones to the Cupid’s bow. Breathing pauses. Tensions build and subside, fade, repeat, and repeat again. The body of the performer attempts to locate the romantic-erotic thirst.

Dance is eros, a force that pulls the self out of itself. Cupid is a naked honey thief.
The performance is inspired by Byung-Chul Han’s The Agony of Eros.

The performance is part of Baltic Circle festival.
