Missing me – a contemporary dance work at Hertsikan Pumppu in Herttoniemi during the Night of the Arts
Missing me is a contemporary dance and physical theatre performance that sensitively and profoundly reflects prisoners’ experiences of incarceration. The artistic process of the piece was carried out in dialogue with the prisoners. Missing me moves fluidly from one atmosphere and inner landscape to another, reaching the prisoners’ lived experiences through movement, sound, speech, song, and balls of wool yarn. The performance offers its audience a surface to grasp and new perspectives on personally experienced themes through the contemporary dance.
The performance contains some strong language in the recorded soundtrack. It is recommended for ages 15 and up.
Free admission.
