Shenanigans is a contemporary circus performance about the importance of playfulness, creativity and imagination throughout the whole lifetime. Premiere on 14th of September 2023.

Shenanigans is a contemporary circus performance about the importance of playfulness, creativity and imagination throughout one’s whole lifetime. Ordinary toys such as building blocks, ball pit balls and car tracks in the hands of two jugglers, create a world in which childhood and adulthood are synonymous. Shenanigans is an ode to the inner child.

Henri Kangas (FIN) and Batist Van Baekel (BE) are two friends and two jugglers who share the love for bad jokes, disc golf and the passion for circus. Kangas and Van Baekel met each other in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, where they studied in the circus university Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. After graduating, they combined their forces and established their own company Jam.Shenanigans, with the goal of creating contemporary circus shows for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
