World Dance On Stage – Gala brings Helsinki’s dance artists and choreographers to the top of the world!
In this unique gala, contemporary dance performances from dozens of different countries will be performed on the stage – from Japan, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao and the Philippines. From Finland, the internationally renowned Tero Saarinen Company will present a new premiere, a duet choreographed by Tero Saarinen himself. The gala is hosted by the beloved dance artist Jorma Uotinen.
This is an evening filled with great expressive power, virtuosic forms, and unique sensitivity and fragility of life as interpreted by critically acclaimed and Grand Prix award-winning artists. Come and experience how the dance moves!
The gala celebrates international cultural exchanges: Suomi-Korea (International Seoul Choreography Festival), Suomi-Japan (SAI Festival), Hong Kong Dance Exchange and Spring Board Macao.
