Save the date and book your trip to the Swedish capital full of circus.
Two major international circus arts events are coming together this time in the wintry Stockholm. FRESH CIRCUS – The International Conference for the Development of Contemporary Circus takes place on February 17 to 20.
The flagship conference from Circostrada FRESH combines artistic proposals, keynotes, panels, thematic workshops, professional exchanges and networking. It offers perspectives on the evolution of contemporary circus and its place within the wider cultural and societal landscape. During the 4-days event there is also a vibrant artistic programme: Fresh Circus #6 is embedded within the CirkusMania festival from Saturday 13 to Sunday 21 February, so it’s worth prolonging the stay and enjoying the shows!
The programme and registrations will be available from 25 November.
Fresh Circus is organised by Circostrada, Subtopia, Riksteatern and Cirkuscentrum. Circus & Dance Finland is a member of Fresh Committee.
CirkusExpo: Dive deep into the Nordic circus scene
CirkusExpo is a Nordic platform and meeting place for contemporary circus professionals, co-organized by Riksteatern and Nordic partners. CirkusExpo programme takes place from 17 to 18 February.
The programme includes presentations and pitches of current and upcoming circus productions, important seminars on circus-related themes and networking sessions.
Numerous live performances from different Nordic countries can be attended during and around the CirkusExpo days as CirkusMania festival is organised on the same week. If you haven’t yet seen Kalle Nio´s and Fernando Melo’s acclaimed performance Tempo, you’ll have the chance to catch it in Stockholm.
There will also be plenty of time for mingling with companies, programmers and other stakeholders active in the circus in Sweden, the Nordic countries and other parts of the world. Circus & Dance Finland’s personnel will also be present at the event, so this is a great opportunity to come say hi to us as well.
The programme and registrations for CirkusExpo will be available from 25 November.
CirkusExpo is presented in collaboration by Riksteatern, The Swedish Arts Council, The Danish Arts Foundation and Circus & Dance Finland.
