Five regional dance centres, with 2 associate organisations form a network of expert organisations in dance spread across Finland. With a wide range of activities, the regional centres work for improving equal access to dance while developing working opportunities for professionals within their region. Central Finland Regional Dance Center
Central Finland Regional Dance Center enforces local dance culture and improves job opportunities for dance professionals and supports their collaboration in central Finland. The centre organizes various happenings, training classes, colleague meetings, workshops and seminars.
Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland
The Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland promotes the equal availability and accessibility of dance regionally, improves job opportunities and offers production support for dance professionals and enables and encourages cooperation in Western Finland.
Pirkanmaa Dance Center
The goal of Pirkanmaan Tanssin Keskus (Pirkanmaa Dance Center) is to promote the employment of dance professionals, strengthen dance culture, enhance its accessibility, and support the activities of dance professionals in the Pirkanmaa, Kanta-Häme, and Päijät-Häme regions.
The Regional Dance Center of Eastern Finland (ITAK)
ITAK supports both socially and financially, the visibility and development of dance as an art in Eastern Finland. ITAK provides information about dance, grants partial production support, organises visiting performances and events and promotes networking between dance artists and other parties in the region.
Regional Dance Centre in Ostrobothnia
The Regional Dance Centre in Ostrobothnia promotes employment and work opportunities for dance artists in the region, as well as the visibility and availability of dance in the region. The Centre organises performances, visits, seminars and workshops and acts as an intermediary organisation and information centre for dance. The Centre’s bilingual activities (Finnish and Swedish) take place in the areas around Vaasa, Kokkola and Seinäjoki.
Two associate organisations / production centres are also a part of the network:
