Zodiak – Center for New Dance (est. 1997) is a production house and venue in Helsinki, Finland. Zodiak co-produces and presents contemporary dance and choreography by Finland-based and international artists. Zodiak also presents the international Side Step Festival every February and runs residency and workshop programmes. Zodiak is a programme partner of Tanssin talo – Dance House Helsinki.
At Zodiak, we take pride in propelling fresh, cutting-edge performances to new heights on the global stage. We strive to foster international networks for our artists and performances, amplify promotional efforts, and provide support in tour production. For programmers we create opportunities to discover intriguing artists and works that collaborate with / are presented at Zodiak. We’re always open for international colleagues, fresh art and ideas!
Currently touring and co-producing works by the following artists: Teo Ala-Ruona, Sonja Jokiniemi, Tiia Kasurinen, Sonya Lindfors, Mikko Niemistö, Alen Nsambu, Marika Peura, Elina Pirinen and WAUHAUS.
